So, it's been a while since I've posted...140 days, to be exact. I'm not attending Michigan Tech this semester, as I don't have the money nor the inclination to. I'm attending Barstow College (a community college), though, so I'm not giving up. I WILL be back to Tech in the Spring or Fall, depending on my monetary situation. I'm planning on attending in the Fall of 2012, though, since my private loans would be accessible at that point.
On the weight loss front, I'm starting to lose some weight, at long last. I started this month at 301.2 pounds (at 5'8" and 21 years of age, this put my BMI at 45.8), and at this current moment, I'm at 291.2 (putting my BMI at 44.3), which is pretty freakin awesome! I'm only doing some walking and going to work (I'm a cashier at Walmart), but I'm having healthier foods and less sugar, so that helps. I'm planning on working out at the on campus fitness center, which is expensive, but still significantly less pricey than a gym membership.
On to money issues. First: I'm saving up for Midwest Furfest in November. This is going to end up looking like this:
Hotel: $620 (5 nights @ $124 a night)
Sushi: $70 (2 people @ $35 ea)
Food Money: $100 (2 people at $50 ea. (there's free food for breakfast and lunch provided by the convention)
Travel: $100 (2-way @ $ each way)
Total: $890
Rent: $900 (3 months @ $300 a month (actual rent is $250, but utilities and stuff)
Owed: $623.99
Total: $1523.99
So, it'll be expensive, but I can do it. If I have to only go out for sushi at the con, I will. I already cut out getting a con badge and any art show stuff...hell, everything I can order online as well, or make myself. Meh.
Or I could beg the parentals...but if I don't have to, I won't.
The important thing is, I can successfully pay off everything, as long as I stick to the budget.
Anyway, all is going well for me so far...let's hope it keeps up!

Day 957---Technically 958
Late post, folks. Been writing my Conservation Biology paper that's due TOMORROW...and I only started it tonight. Meh, it's only 1000 words, so it's kinda easy. That, and it's a review paper, which means I read an article, summarize it, then use 5 other articles to support/contradict it. Simple. I'll work on it tomorrow after Psychology.
I hope Psych's canceled again.
So far, I'm 20% done with the paper (really, it's more 25%, but I'm hoping to go over the 1k minimum), which isn't shabby for 3 hours of research and 1 hour of writing/dicking around. I'll have about 4 hours to get the rest of it done, so if I can write 250 words an hour, I'll have free time somewhere in there. Oh, and 10-15 sentences have to be about the other articles, which isn't a big deal at all. Yay for procrastination.
A note about this whole situation: I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! I work best under extreme time constraints, which is terrible, but true. I was actually banking on an all-nighter tonight, but I got lucky with how easy this is turning out to be. To anyone who is in college, or is planning on going to college, please do yourselves a favor and get papers done early. It blows to have to do them quickly.
Anyway, time for sleep.

Day 952
So, Day 952 is going fairly well. Started my day off with a nice breakfast of Maple and Brown Sugar Quaker oatmeal (yum!), and watching a couple episodes of Bones before I did my hair. I'm going to straighten up my room a little before going to school (though it's just for a lunch and a Psychology study), then I'm off to the Copper Country Humane Society for APO service hours.
I love my Big Brother, Gwen, for that, btw. She's pretty freakin' awesome because she'd rather play with the cats than walk the dogs. I love some of the cats at the Humane Society, and wish I could take them home so I could live with them, but, alas, no such luck.
Oh, also, Tech's 11th Annual Drag Show is tonight! So excited, because I think my Master will be wearing makeup for it...which is always kinda sexy. Okay, distracted. Pardon my ADD.
ANYWAY! I ordered a book a while back, called "Run Your Butt Off", which is basically an exercise book that takes one from their computer chair to running (they advertise it as a 12 week program, but the authors stated in the book that one should take as much time as needed at each stage in order to get comfortable with their abilities). I'm on Stage 1, which is 30 minutes of walking 4 days a week. Not that I don't do that already. So, yes, my fat ass is gonna get off this chair now and get ready for going out and about. Au revoir!

Day 949
Note: I call this "Day 949" because that's how many days it's been since I moved to Tech. That's how my posts will be labeled, unless I have 2 in one day.
So, Day 949 began with me sleeping in until 11...too damned tired after this weekend. I ate ramen for breakfast, then trekked to school. I met up with one of the Alpha Phi Omega brothers so I could get his signature for my pledge book. Then I did a Psychology study, and now here I am.
Most of my days are boring as hell and make me wonder why I'm even bothering with college, but I keep thinking, "I could work for Disney, I could work for Disney." See, they have an internship program available for a wide variety of jobs in their parks. I'm busy looking at one for the Animal Kingdom park involving Animal Nutrition. It'll require other experience, but hopefully that's where I'll be in a few years' time.
Oh, and, yes, that position is where I would love to be. Anyway, that's my life, in this nifty little organizer in my brain called "Shit I'd Like to Do After I Get Out of this Hell Hole."

Introduction
Hello everyone,
I'm Kiri, aka Eliana, a 20 (almost 21) year old who is straddling the line between loving and hating college. I'm also a furry, which, well, is kind of hard to explain. This explains all. If you scroll down to the 'spirituality' and 'art and creativity' section, it pretty much describes me. Oh, and I'm a Canada Lynx, fyi. Don't worry, my family knows, and they're cool with it.
That brings up an interesting little story. For a few years after I started identifying as a furry, I kept it a secret from my parents. I told my sister in 2008 (I first identified as furry in 2006, though at the time I had no idea what being furry meant), and she covered my ass many times. My parents, however, didn't know until 2010.
During my school's Winter Carnival (drunken snow statue building, day of hangover recovery, hockey game, basketball game, another basketball game, and another hockey game and the Carnival is over), my parents came up from California to see my sister and I. I was going to tell them Saturday night during dinner or afterwards, but never got the chance. Instead, a mother of a friend of mine was introduced to them and she told them everything. Needless to say, my parents weren't too pleased.
Oh, and they also learned that I was Neopagan and sleeping with two gay men in the same conversation. They're still more accepting of me sleeping with the guys than my religion, which doesn't surprise me.
After being thoroughly questioned for about 6 months, my parents accepted the fact that they can't change me, and we're back to being our normal, dysfunctional selves.
As for my 'partners', they're not really classified as that. We've got a kink relationship going on, which basically means that I am their pet, and they are my Masters. It's a very intimate lifestyle, and I enjoy it very much. Those two are my favorite people in the world, no holds barred.
"You can't love two people!" You say? Well, you can't love two people equally, I'll give you that, and I don't love my Masters equally. One is an actor, and a damned good one at that, and he's not so much my Master as he's my Master's mate. I love him a good deal, though, just not as much as the other.
Now, my Master...he's the single best thing that's happened to me in my entire life. Prior to meeting him, I was lost. I couldn't get to my feet after being abandoned by a previous Master and having a poor GPA from the previous semester. It was terrible! Then, through a mutual friend (who, through some personal differences, is no longer a friend to my Master nor I), I met him. Tall, lithe, handsome, and sweet. He and I hung out more and more often, and he decided he'd take me on as his pet. Now, he decided this in October and didn't tell me until December, so there was a little stressful period in there when I just had no idea where I was going. I've been his loyal pet for a year and a half, so it's worked out.
Anyway, for now, that's all you need to know about me to get to know me well.
Love and kisses!
